The Best Freebies!

Last week I download a FREE portrait package coupon I found on Moneysaving Mom and scheduled an appt for today. Even though the appt time was during Little A's nap time, we were able to get one or two decent pics. Here's the one I ordered :)

Notice the cute shirts my kiddos have on? ALL were on clearance at Kohl's and since I had a $10 off of a $10 purchase just waiting to be used, I was able to buy them all for the pictures and pay only tax out the door.

How's that for a deal? Free pics and shirts to match! Have you had any good deals lately to share?

Major Diaper Savings!

This week was all about getting caught up on coupons and deal for me. I found out about a major diaper deal that Rite Aid had that was ending next week and finally went and took advantage of it!

There were several overlapping rebates this month but I only will received two because I opted to get diapers I can actually use right now instead of ones that I could maybe use later. The Pull Ups that I got were a size 2t....the ones that would have given me a rebate of $2.00 more were a size 4t-5t....I don't think we'll use those for quite a while..lol! I WILL be able to use the 2t ones in case of emergency (like when you run out of regular diapers and don't want to get to the store) or possibly starting my little guy potty training...which ever comes first ;) Also there is a promotion where if you spend $50 on select products (huggies being one of them) you get a $25 gift card in the mail AND if you buy 5 packages of diapers or pull ups, you get a voucher in the mail for a free package! So this is how my 2 trips went down:

1st Transaction:

Huggies Pure and Natural diapers @ 11.49 each X 3 = $34.47 - $5.00 off @ $25.00 purchase - $3.00 off 1 huggies Pure and natural diapers X 3 = -$9.00
Total before tax = $20.47 oop for 3 packages

2nd Transaction:

1 Pull ups size 2t (not jumbo which was the one on sale but this counts towards my 5 packages of diaper purchase) - $11.49

1 Package Huggies Pure and Natural Diapers 1 @ 11.49

1 Huggies Wipes tub 1 @ $2.00

plus a small filler (I think we got a candy bar...my ds put something up there..lol)
- $5.00 off $25.00 purchase
- $5.00 off 1 pull ups (this was mailed to me from Huggies a while ago)
- $3.00 off 1 Huggies pure and natural (I didnt have any wipes Q's and they wouldn't take my $1.00 off any bath and body...weird..anywho...)
Total out of pocket: $11.98 before tax!

So lets do the math on my savings with all the rebates I will receive:

Total towards soend $50 get $25 = $57.45 (before all coupons) Total out of pocket for all after coupons: $32.45 -$25 gift card rebate= $7.45 - Free package of diapers (-$11.49)

= $4.04 MONEY MAKER!!!

They paid me to take these diapers off their hands! Awesome! These will last us about a monthto a month and a half....plenty of time to get our rebates back and use that for more diapers! Hopefully by then they'll be running another promo that I can roll :D

Did anyone else take advantage of this deal? I love to hear about yours! I got a GREAT deal at Kohl's yesterday that I will be combining with ANOTHER freebie....look for that post soon ;)

Frugal finds:

This past weekend we stopped at a couple of yard sales while driving home from the dr's. I haven't been to one for quite sometime so I was excited to see quite a few on my route home! I made a couple of impulse buys but mailnly got things we could use :)

This was the impulse buy..lol....they are pretty candle holders and I think I could get more use out of than just for Christmas as it's shown. I could use it for all of the seasons by changing it out accordingly.

This isn't a great pic but it's a pretty little navy gingham patterned dress. Very twirly for my dd...which is what she has been asking for :)

I am teaching handicrafts starting this fall to my children and latchhook is one of them. This was a complete set minus the acutal latch hook thingy (not sure what its called...can you tell I will be learning right along side my kids)

All of these wonderful books:(not crazy about Shrek...but hey its madlibs..lol)

These were cool! Mad libs card game AND Monopoly based on the city next to us (where I was born and raised)

And finally, alone worth what I spent.....These will go on my patio/french door which is a very odd size...and these are very heavy duty blinds...not the plastic ones that I did have up!

I spent a total of $20.00 on all of these items I even have 2 more items not pictured because I may use them as a gift for someone one day ; p

Bargain Finds!

I have been on the look out for things for school lately and have found some pretty cool things and cheap...all in the strangest places. First , I found a "hooked On Spanish" set from Big Lots for $5.00! I also got a world puzzle for a dollar to go with MFW ECC . I also went to Target and in their "dollar" section found a bunch of cool stuff! This is what i got:
Two math bingos : Addition/subtraction, Multiplication/division
3 puzzles: shapes, numbers, and letters (for my 2 yr old)
Placemats: Multiplication/Division w/ marker & one of the world for MFW ECC

A 10 little Monkeys book and a 3d puzzle (fit the shapes cube)
A small globe for ds's desk to refer to for the continents and countries.

In am sooo excited...we also bought a few school supplies.

I also got about 9 binders on freecycle yesterday which is awesome because we need a binder for almost everything! Got love freecycle!

So now I am awaiting my huge box from Rainbow Resource with all of the rest of my books!! I can't wait to start making my lesson plans up and getting everything together for our second year homeschooling. I am so excited with using MFW...it's going to be quite a change form last year...
