I love that even amongst all the noise around me and often it could just be the noise of my own thoughts, I still have the freedom to worship my God wherever I am...loved this video and thought I would share :) (the end is awesome and such a great reminder....
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. Romans 1:16

Ever been stolen from?

I have. Today. My purse was stolen and gone. It's back now but it was a very surreal 3 hours. I have never felt so vulnerable. Stuck somewhere with 3 children. NO money, no car keys, no cell phone, no blanket to cover myself while nursing my baby, no nothing. It was a very strange feeling when it first happened. It didn't seem real. A lady I don't even know became my intercessor (and helped me to see that all I needed to do what trust what my Father says HE will do) , a police woman that felt my pain but was told that God is in control and that the person that did this needs Jesus, and the woman who found my purse sans money on the curb next to her car needs prayer as she lost her daughter last year.
This purse isn't a regular ole purse. It is the purse I *just*got for my birthday from my dad and step mom. I love it. It has a cross adorning each side and a scripture on the front of it that reads :

This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only son into the world that we might live through him 1 John 4:9.

I don't know if the woman that took my purse read this...I pray that she did....but my naive side just can't believe that someone can see this on a purse and STILL take it. Not to mention my key chain on the inside.....it says Got Jesus? I pray she seen these things......I am praying for her to repent and be saved. Sin has a way of creeping into peoples lives...some is obvious like stealing....some is not so obvious like being selfish, manipulative, or full of pride. The later is harder to deal with, because alot of us are subject to that sin.

I hope that this never happens again...but I do hope that the opportunities come to me often like they have today to share the peace and trust I have in Jesus Christ. I hope that the best way I can reward someone for finding my lost purse or anything else for that matter is to be able to pray for them....as I will for this woman that found my purse. She was drawn to me while I was nursing my baby outside on the wall with no covering (which was extremely uncomfortable...she was able to see *me* every time the baby would break his latch to smile at her). She was admiring his curly hair and started tearing up. She said her daughter had the same curly hair when she was born, but she lost her last year. I felt the need to tell her about my purse. Selfish right...thinking only of my woes..but the Holy Spirit let me know He was working through her. She was the one who turned it in. I grabbed her and hugged her like she was a long lost family member. We walked into the pharmacy hand in hand. I got my purse and promised to pray for her comfort for the loss of her daughter. I don't think I will ever forget this woman. I don't know the state of her salvation....but I will continue to pray for her as such.

The best part is....I was so thankful it was only my purse. MY treasure isn't what was in my purse....those things are all replaceable, my children are not. Hold onto your babies tight when you are out and about...I know I will.

The angels are rejoicing!

My soon-to-be 9 yr old asked Jesus into his heart at 9:15 this morning ,while on our way to the dr's. This is the child that help to lead me to the Lord.
We were listening to a children's bible song cd and he said:
"Mom, I think I am ready to become a Christian."
Stunned, I said "Ok...um..do you know what that means?"..
He said "Yeah, Of course!!.
I said"Let me call your dad"..lol...but assured him beforehand that that was a very important decision and that I needed to talk to daddy since he handles this kinda stuff...um..silly right...but I had never led that kind of prayer with anyone yet and wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing, since he was a child (and IMO under the age of accountability) ;? Whenever I am dealing with heart issues, I have to make sure that I making the right decisions and hubby tends to be more matter of fact about things..and I tend to get too philosophical. So upon speaking to hubby he says to go ahead and pray with him...we didn't know if it was a true profession...but I don't want to keep a little one from going to his Father in Heaven!! So we prayed...in the car...on our way to the hospital (for me again *sigh*)..while listening to children's praise music. I truly am thankful I had a conviction about the music I used to listen to when I first was saved...imagine what would have been in these little ones ear gates had I not?

This is not a decision to take lightly...and children make professions of faith all the time (I did at 10) but don't know why they are doing what they are doing...but they want to and the holy spirit definitely tugs at little ones hearts :) What I do know is that I have been training this child up in the ways of the Lord since I, myself, made that profession 2 yrs and some months ago...and today I received some of the divine fruit of my labor!

Matthew 21:16
Do you hear what these children are saying?" they asked him. "Yes," replied Jesus, "have you never read, 'From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise'[a]?"

2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 18:5
5"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.

What a glorious day that the Lord has made!

Praise Report!

I have to tell you all that I am so happy right now :-D My cousin that i am doing child care for accepted the Lord today at church! She is a 22 yr old single mom with two kids...a 5.5 yr old and a 2.5 yr old. I was shocked when she *came* to church along with her mom and sister (who we are still praying for)....Anyways, we were all sitting together (me, dh, my dc, cousin and her dd) and then our Pastor did the call.....I could see that she was already crying and started to hold her dd for comfort....I told her to give me the baby and go!( I could see that Satan was trying to get her to gain her comfort from her dd instead of the Lord) So she did..I walked her up to the sanctuary (we sit out on the patio at our church) and let her go....I told her that she didn't need me to go... that the Lord was walking up there with her....so she did and we are rejoicing this today! I only hope that I have been a good witness to her and her children :-)
Just wanted to share this because I know there are alot of us who are praying for our families and this was one that I didn't think would come to the Lord ...at least not now..it's harder when you are single...and like your life..but obviously the Holy Spirit really touched her heart today :-) It just goes to show that God *IS* in control and He deserves all my praise!!
