Thinking ahead

Photobucket

FOR TODAY February 2, 2009...
Outside my window... The sun is shining, going to be in the 80's today!
I am thinking...of my hubby and how his day is going at work.
I am thankful for....the health of my children, daughter was sick and is doing great now.
From the learning rooms...Oldest is diligently working on his Bible workbook
From the kitchen...I see a pile of dishes to be done (sundays always mess me up)
I am wearing...A skirt. nuff said. (I'm not too comfortable, but I digress)
I am creating...my list for baking day!
I am going...nowhere today....spending much needed time at home.
I am reading...my lesson plan book and going over plans for this week.
I am hoping...
I am hearing...children playing with a xylophone and giggling. Oldest reading synonyms outloud.
Around the house...there is a lot of things to pick up, put away, and clean. Better get started!
One of my favorite things...is spending time with the Lord as I go about my day..
A few plans for the rest of the week:
Have a Baking day, finish up school room de-cluttering, try my hand at sewing jeans into a skirt.

Have an awesome day!

Monday Ramblings...

So today has been an unusual Monday for me....I usually am trying to recover from the weekend mess in my house but surprisingly it wasn't too bad today. I was up late last night cleaning my kitchen so it would free me up today to do some baking.
I also found out my sister is expecting her fourth child this morning so that started the day off cheerfully :)

I did a ton of baking today as well. I made 5 loaves of bread! Four of them were by hand and very easy to make! I used this recipe for the white bread (Can't get my hubby away from it) and I put a whole grain one in the bread maker. I have been disappointed lately with my bread maker...all of my bread has been deflated upon coming out...and that's even with using bread flour. The loaf today was no exception..I think the rising cycle is too long or something..anywhoo...I think I like making bread by hand (this was my first time really..BTW)and will be trying to keep my baking day on Mondays...it frees my Saturdays up for hopefully something else fun ;)

Tommorow we are meeting with Gina and going to take our kids to one of the free summer movies and hopefully getting some In and Out afterwards :) I'll try to get some pics of us and post them then.

Hope you had a great day :D

This week we have decided to unplug our kids..

Photobucket

Today has been a great start to this new week...I am feeling great and am thankful to be back home doing all of my wifely and motherly duties...I love taking care of my family, homeschooling and all of the things that go along with being a wife and mom...
I redid our schedule to incorporate some more of Charlotte Mason's methods and today has flowed pretty well. Eeyore and Tigger are outside playing, my bread dough is rising, kitchen is sparkling, baby is napping, and I am listening to the Word on the radio while writing this...we aren't even missing the TV at all...
I am going to make some lotion today and hopefully a tutorial for my other blog.
Have a blessed day!
