Still here...
I'm still here, although morning sickness has gotten the best of me :) Watermelon and most fruits seem to be my best friend at the moment. Honestly, I can't complain. It could be worse. We are plugging away at school still and trying to get our year finished up sooner than later. As you can see, blogging is the least of my priorities right now but will be writing some posts up soon about a new system of organizing I plan to implement and what we are going to be using next year, which I happen to be extremely excited about!! (I don't think I have shared that here yet?) Sooo be back shortly, morning sickness can't last forever , right?

Taking a little break
I'm not taking a long break, just a little one from this blog. We are still on Christmas break so there isn't much to blog about anyways. I also need to work a bit on the template...I am so over the green and red background..lol.
However, I do have some exciting news! I opened up my old home-keeping blog..you can see what's happening with it by clicking here.
See you when we start back to school!

Blog Break.

Hey y'all...I have a ton going on for the next couple of weeks. MIL is coming (along with SIL and BIL and their families), my ds's room needs to be painted, I want to paint my kitchen cabinets and walls, Dd's room needs major toy purging and organization, I need to do some major school planning (will post my plans even though I am breaking), We are going on vacation, and I just need another break from being online so much. You get control of your usage slowly but surely and then little by little it starts to creep back to more and more of your time is being spent online researching..(does this only happen to me?)..etc etc...so I am taking a break. I will be back the beginning of August(when our new school year starts)..I may put up some pics here and there but I won't be blogging regularly until then :)
Have a blessed summer!

Last day of school!
Today was our last day of school...we finished our year off by going out for ice cream :) My good friend Kristi and her 3 children met us there. We moms enjoyed a Starbucks frappy and the kids got ice cream :)
This has been a great year despite having the challenges that come with a baby, potty training, sickness, hospitalization, and finally surgery. Eeyore
has been extremely diligent with finishing his work independently even when
I wasn't available to look over his shoulder....what an awesome example of God's faithfulness....when I couldn't be there to look after them, God instilled that willingness to do what's right :)
I am extremely excited with getting on to planning our next school year! I am currently working on our school year schedule and then will start with lesson planning! We will be taking a traditional approach with all 3r's but using
Charlotte Mason's methods for all the rest of our subjects. That's the beauty of homeschooling, you don't have to do anything other than what works for you and your child! :)
Have a great day!

Surgery Update:

Been Busy and more to follow :)
I haven't been blogging very much due to just being busy with the day to day stuff and trying to get this year finished out! I am going in for Gall bladder surgery (removal) this Thurs so I have been preparing for that as well...I will be doing lots of planning for the summer and next school year while recovering from the surgery, so look for lots of posts on that soon :D
So some updates:
Baby boy is crawling around EVERYWHERE! He's a ball full of energy and boy am I in trouble when he starts walking..lol! Add teething into the mix and that will make any baby's day full of the crankies :)So I have been very busy with him..
Big brother ds is working hard and getting his 3rd grade year wrapped up. He's soaring through Math and pushing through English. He'll keep working while I am recovering and will finish up sometime in June. I have some fun things planned to add to his American History study and Science for this summer and will post on that soon!
Big sister has been a handful :) She is almost potty trained (ptl!) and is ready to start doing some "pre-school"..she is starting to write her letters (without my help)and is trying to learn to read...I am going to just continue to read to her and wait to do anything formal til mid school year (09).
OH! Our tomato plants are all dead...well except for a couple of them..we have had some serious heat (105 degrees) and ds wasn't watering them enough...I am trying to salvage whatever ones I can..but not sure If it's possible..He did learn a valuable lesson tho...and thats learning...right?
Pray for me as I go through surgery in the next couple of days and I will be back soon!
Love in Christ,

Early Vacation...
I have decided to start our vacation as of yesterday. I have a ton of baking to do and haven't been feeling well. I went to the dr yesterday and was diagnosed with Gastritis...at least until the bloodwork comes back. I have had a few days of burning pain in my abdomen and its been spreading into my back. I was up all all night doubled over in pain on Sun so Dh took me to the dr yesterday after work...They gave me Prilosec for now. I am concerned that its an ulcer (after self diagnosing on Webmd..lol...hey I am usually right about my body) I have been taking an obsene amount of ibuprophen since the baby was born due to after birth pains, headaches, colds, and worst of all toothaches. I was taking the recommended dosage but have been taking them far too long :-(
Other than that I need to bake tons of gifts and I still have shopping to finish up for my kids. I have to take care of out of state relatives first because those need to mail out ASAP and then I have to take care of family here. I haven't figured out exactly what my gifts are going to be yet ;-P But they will be close to what was made last year! I will post pics of our creations soon...

Update on post below :-)
I had a moment of breakdown yesterday as we were doing school and ds was having trouble with dictation. So I got some advice and help from some great homeschoolers and have since figured out that I need to just review some phonics (will do that with some games I found online) and I need to do more copywork instead of dictation until next year. I think I must have sounded like I said that he couldn't read by the responses i got..but rest assured he's a greta reader..just not an auditory learner. He is a visual learner...whew..glad toi have that figured out my second year homeschooling! So he can read (actaully he started reading in K and is at a 5th grade level right now) but just has a few things to brush up on as far as spelling and phonics.
I've decided to tone down what we are studying for the next few weeks since i will have baby boy, hopefully, within the next few days (things are starting to get close..read my other blog). So next week we are going to continue school...but with just Math, English, Spelling, Reading. Along with reading the bible in the morning together and some science and history books based on US history. He can do alot of this independently so we will keep going until baby gets here. After his arrival, we will stop all work to focus on bonding with our new family member and prolly take a couple weeks off. If things get to unscheduled I will have him do some things on the computer for fun.
So thats where we are at for our homeschool...I will probably not tend to thisn blog much until we are back into the groove of things....but you never know..I might be a ball of energy once I have the baby..yeah right!

Taking a break from blogging :-)
Not forever! Just for this week..probably. I have a ton to do before we start school on the 4th and I have spent alot of time on the 'puter this past week. I will pick up where I left off (my cleaning schedules etc)as soon as I am able to. I may still post a few things on my pregnancy blog..being that I only have close to 7 weeks to go :-) I have been finding even though it only takes a minute to put up a post, I still could spend an hour reading everyones else's blogs..lol. So that's the time consuming part for me. I also will be posting more of what we are doing for school on this blog..being that it IS our school blog..lol...and figuring out where I am going to post my other ramblings..hmm..maybe on the preg blog...that seems to be consuming everything in my thoughts right now :-D So, If I dont comment for a while..you know why. I need a break for my houses sake, my family's sake, and my feets sake (they swell while I am sitting at the computer!).
Take care and I'll be back before you know (ok ok..we will see how long it lasts right?)
