More Garden Pics..

We have a few tiki torches that surround our garden areas and the green beans decided to use the torches as their trellis...lol.

Here's our corn...We have quite a few ears growing, we are just waiting for them to get bigger and then they'll be ready to be picked!

One of our zucchini plants.

This is carrots....the tops are getting huge...

But as you can see looks can be deceiving! LOL

We also have cucumbers that are flourishing , pumpkin plants that are just growing, lettuce that is starting to sprout out of the ground and bell peppers germinating.

I never knew gardening could be so rewarding. The only reason we have an abundance is my hubby's faithful praying (over his garden).

Our first fruits.

We are finally picking our first veggies from our garden this year! It's so exciting to see something go from seed to being something edible...a true example of the creation of the One and Only Living God..
The first plant to produce is our zucchini.....this is a pic of 2 that we picked just this evening (we had one the other day but I didn't take a pic of it....hubby had it for dinner with his Tilapia)..

We also happened to have some zucchini that I bought from the store..lol..didn't realize we would have some so quickly....so I bought a couple :) As you can see the store bought ones are MUCH smaller....lol......ours are HUGE and heavy in comparison.
Also...everything we are growing is totally organic....we aren't using anything in the soil....no fertilizer, no vegetable food, no nothing. If there are bugs, we shake them off or we pick them off.

Such sad, little zucchini.....I think we will eat them and put them out of their misery..lol...I wanted to chuck them but hubby doesn't like to waste good food...or money.....so we'll eat them tomorrow.

We tried to grow a garden last year and weren't as successful...all we had that grew wonderfully was collard greens but nothing else to be excited about.
This year is different. My hubby prays over our garden...and the Lord has provided.

Now I just need some recipes, storage ideas...any suggestions?
Have a great day!
