2012/2013 Curriculum!

I am really excited about our new school year (that we started YESTERDAY actually), and wanted to put up our curriculum choices for the year :) Hopefully I will get some pics up soon. All of the kids here have grown so much!

Big A (8th grade)

*Bible- BSGFAA w/ siblings, bible study w/ Dad (going through the whole bible), some worldview read alouds w/ mom

*Math- Teaching Textbooks and MUS (if needed for mastery)

*Language Arts: R&S English, IEW SWI B, & Apples Spelling

*History/Lit: Notgrass America the Beautiful w/ lit suggestions. There are a few other resources we are adding in for African American History to use along side this. I will do a separate post on that later.

*Science: AIG: 

                   Planet Earth (also using Exploring Planet Earth from Tiner)

                   Our Weather and Water Book along with various other resources (this is *his* thing)

                   Inventions and Technology (Along with some biographies of famous inventors)

*Electives: Typing, Notgrass Civics Course, 4h

Middle A 2nd grade

*Bible/Character- BSGFAA w/siblings and bible in HOD, We Choose Virtues, Get Wisdom! (doing a monthly "virtue" for the next 12 months.

 

*Math: CLE and MUS (as needed)

*Language Arts: Finishing up CLE Phonics, Abeka Handbook for reading (1st semester), then starting with AAS level 1 and? (not sure what we'll do after the CLE phonics..maybe Abeka Letters and Sounds) reading will be Emerging readers from HOD Beyond.

*History, Geography, Read alouds, Art, etc: HOD Beyond little hearts for his glory.

*Science: AIG Gods Design for Heaven and Earth

*Extras: 4h, Little Keepers

Little A K4/5

*Tagging along with siblings for Bible and character

 

*BJU Pathways to Preschool

*we'll be doing R&S Kindergarten books as well

 

Baby A (turning 3)
